Members of the Otsego Administrative team will once again be conducting community forums this winter. Otsego parents, staff, and community are invited to attend one of the informational sessions below. We need to hear from parents and community members on things we are doing right and in areas we need to improve on. We will update the community on key initiatives that we have implemented this year and look ahead to the next school year. We will also provide a financial overview of the past several years and discuss the financial forecast. You will have the opportunity to ask the team questions and make suggestion on how we can strengthen the Otsego Local School District.

OTSEGO COMMUNITY MEMBERS
Yesterday I participated in a conference call with school and state health officials regarding Ebola. We will continue to monitor this situation throughout the state and will update the Otsego Community with any information that we receive. There is NO immediate threat to the Otsego community. This is strictly informational and to let everyone know that we will continue to keep up with the latest information regarding Ebola. Please take a look at the links below for more information from the State of Ohio and the Center for Disease Control and Prevention.
Last fall, Otsego Local Schools began to collect data from parents and community members. The baseline data supported the strategic planning process completed later that year. The survey data results and the strategic plans were included on the website.
It is time to collect additional data to determine if the district is meeting needs of our families and our community and moving forward with the strategic plan. Please take time to complete one of the two surveys listed below. The links open a survey for either Otsego parents/families or Otsego community members. Paper copies will be available in each school’s office, at the Weston and Grand Rapids library branches, at village offices, and at local post offices.
Please complete all electronic surveys on or before Friday, November 14th. Paper copies should be returned to the central office (mail or drop off at address below) by November 14th as well. Thank you in advance for completing the surveys. They provide valuable information to the district. Results will be shared through this weekly update and will be made available on the website.
